Feedback form is now closed.
One of the critical points in a VoIP infrastructure are the proxies located at the edge of the platform, whose job is to dispatch calls towards the core of the platform in a reliable manner. But how do you ensure calls are reaching the edge proxy anyways? This talk presents a few mechanisms one can use to ensure high availability and load balancing for the edge proxies of your platform. We will discuss about DNS failover, heartbeat, anycast and other mechanisms that can achieve these features, their pros and cons, and when should each of them be used.
