Using Wazo to develop third applications
Wazo is a free software unified communication platform based on Asterisk developed from 2005. The architecture is created to permit to have a business engine for the telephony. Each components we develop can be control by a REST API and have events in a message bus to help developers to create easily new telephony applications. This presentation is to permit users to discover what is Wazo. - Installation - Configuration How can you use it: - User interface How you could use the API: - Documentation - API And his goal is to help you with examples, how you can create nice applications with Wazo and how you can connect Wazo with third applications. Examples will be in Python and Javascript.

Anatomy of a Babelfish. Using ARI and speech technologies to build a "real time" call interpreter
Nowadays speech-based telephony applications are gaining popularity due to all possible areas where they can be used. Transactional IVRs, automatic notifications, and custom telephony applications are common scenarios where this technology can be found. Likewise, the use of cloud-based speech technologies has been increasing thanks to the cost-benefit ratio derived from the affordable pricing and excellent quality making them the straightforward way to build speech applications quickly and easily. The main idea is to combine ARI, ASR, TTS and translation services to make a live demonstration of an almost real-time call interpreter.
